DeeAnn's Experience

I'm starting my journaling of my Atlas Profilax experience on Thursday October 16,2008.  I had no idea what to expect nor how the proceedure works.  However, I have observed my husband for the past couple of months since he had his treatment and I have to tell you that he has turned into the "Energizer Bunny".  I figured if it could do that for him that I would like to try it as well.
I sat on a chair and Troy checked my range of motion in my neck.  It was fairly limited.  I have experienced a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders over the years.  Especially so during the past 12 years since I have become a Sign Language Interpreter.  This profession requires a lot of mental processing and concentration which contributed to my shoulder and neck tension.  I have also had a lot of stress connected with family emergencies.  Trying to juggle my time between husband, children, grandchildren and aging parents.  So, Troy began to massage and work on my neck behind the ears.  He also had me lay on my stomach and checked my heels and legs for alignment and flexibility.  My legs and hips were also out of alignment.  I sat back in the chair and he continued to work on my atlas.   I felt a clearing of my sinus passages.  After a short time he had me get up and walk.  After that I sat back in my chair and found that my neck range had extended considerably.  I walked again, rested on my back for a short time and then Troy worked on my atlas for the last time!  I layed on my stomach a second time and Troy was able to relieve a jabbing pain in my middle back on the right of my spine.  He checked my legs and feet again.  Then I sat in the chair for a short time.  When I left the office I felt light of foot.  I told my husband that sometimes in the past it felt like I was walking in mud but, this felt completely opposite!  Almost like my feet had sprouted wings.  My feeling of energy continued with me until about 7:00pm  at which time I felt some tenderness to the touch and applied some healing sauve that we have.  I was able to sleep through the night quite comfortably.  When I woke up on Friday morning I checked and my range of motion was holding.  Troy said it would be important to try and be aware of my body and what changes I notice wether big or slight.  He also indicated that the healing process takes time just like it has taken years of abusing my body to get it into this condition.  I will add to this from time to time with my observations.
